The park of the most beloved mayor of the city
The Yordan Kapsamunov Park pays homage to one of the most distinguished citizens of Stara Zagora. Yordan Kapsamunov was mayor of the city between 1952-1962. During that period he brought to life a series of very important construction projects as well the first coat of arms of Stara Zagora.
The mayor stood behind the building of the plumbing for the city's hydropower plant and the Beroe Stadium, the realignment and reinforcement of the cultural institutions, the opening of a library and the Geo Milev Museum, the creation of new schools, the Public Observatory and the Stara Zagora airport.
The Park awaits its visitors and provides relaxation and calm. The Park's pond is the all-year-round home of flocks of geese.
